Purpose of the Laptop Ministry

The Laptop Ministry at Peoples Church refurbishes donated and low-cost used laptops to provide reliable computing devices to individuals and families in need—particularly students, job seekers, and seniors/disabled in our community. This ministry removes barriers to education, employment, and connection while demonstrating Christ’s love through practical service.

Budget Focus

This proposal requests funding only for regular, recurring supply needs required to refurbish and prepare laptops for distribution. One-time capital purchases (e.g., tools) and major equipment are handled separately.

Monthly Recurring Supplies

• 1 × 128GB replacement SSD (critical for reviving older machines) $15
• CMOS batteries, anti-static bags (for laptops & power supplies), can of compressed air, alcohol pads $15

Total Monthly Requirement: $30

Yearly / Quarterly Items (Covered by Carry-Over)

Leftover monthly funds will roll forward each quarter to cover:

• Sticker remover / Goo Gone (ordered once per year) $20
• Purchase of additional used laptops (target: under $25 each)

These purchases will be made only when sufficient carry-over exists and with any funds donated by the community, ensuring no additional requests are needed.

Requested Budget

• Monthly: $30
• Annual (12 months): $360

This modest, predictable amount allows the ministry to operate smoothly without frequent special appeals or expense from Jason's personal funds. Any surplus will be saved specifically for bulk used-laptop purchases or the annual sticker-remover order, maximizing stewardship of every dollar given.

Accountability & Reporting

The ministry team will:

• Track every purchase with receipts
• Provide a simple quarterly summary to church leadership
• Report the number of laptops refurbished and distributed
